Our Co-Founders

Co-Founder, Executive Director
Adam is an ordained pastor, writer, musician, and ministry leader with a background in psychology, pastoral care, autism advocacy, and creative outreach. As a father of a son with autism and someone who has personally navigated ADHD and anxiety, Adam brings both training and lived experience to Brightstar Ministries. He helps lead the organization’s vision for mental health awareness, whole-person discipleship, neurodivergence support, writing, music, and outreach.

Co-Founder, Director of Community
Jessi is a ministry leader, worship leader, parent, and community builder with a deep heart for people who feel unseen or misunderstood. As an adult with autism, a parent of neurodivergent children, and as someone who has navigated a life of trauma, Jessi brings lived experience, compassion, and resilience to Brightstar Ministries. Her strength is creating community and helping people feel welcomed, valued, and supported. Jessi has a heart for those in recovery.
Our Board of Directors
Director of Counseling
Carrie brings professional counseling experience and pastoral care insight to Brightstar Ministries. As Director of Counseling, she helps guide the ministry’s approach to emotional health, compassionate support, and future counseling-related resources.

Director of Curriculum
Lisa is an elementary educator and ministry leader who brings a practical, compassionate approach to resource development. As Director of Curriculum, she helps Brightstar Ministries create clear, accessible materials that equip churches, families, and individuals with tools for growth, care, and understanding.

Director of Medical Guidance
Susan is a family nurse practitioner who brings medical knowledge, clinical experience, and compassionate care to Brightstar Ministries. In her work, she serves a diverse range of individuals and families, including those navigating neurodivergence. As Director of Medical Guidance, she helps provide perspective on whole-person care and supports the ministry’s focus on mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
